Responsibilities

• Performs embedding and cutting on biopsies and large surgical specimens, meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Follows lab policies and procedures to perform moderate complexity testing.
• Maintains and demonstrates competency assessment in all assigned areas for pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic processes.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and documents laboratory equipment failures.
• Completes all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines.
• Demonstrates clear communication with team members to optimize laboratory operations.
• Actively participates in departmental projects; contributes positively to department environment/initiatives.
• Contributes to a positive work environment.
• Takes responsibility for self-development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain PHI for our patients.
