Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Support Technician to process, describe, and dissect small tissue specimens and prepare slides for rapid diagnosis. You will handle data entry and ensure accurate medical information interpretation to support patient care.

You will perform touch preps, frozen sectioning, and staining with strict attention to specimen integrity and quality control.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process, describe, and dissect small tissue specimens.
• Accurate data entry and interpretation of medical information.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prepare slides and perform histology-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to Clients, Patients, and Hospital Divisions. Answers phones, reports results, and assists clients.
• Registers and Accessions Surgical and Cytology specimens for diagnosis, maintains specimen TAT and Integrity.
• Sections tissue samples and stains slides for Frozen section histological diagnosis.
• Assists with laboratory support functions.
• Miscellaneous duties and adherence to policies.
