Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management seeks an Anatomic Pathology Support Technician to process, describe, and prepare tissue specimens for rapid diagnosis. You will receive, register, and interpret medical information for accurate data entry and assessment of specimen integrity.

The role requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and strong analytical and communication skills. You will assist with touch preps, staining, and sectioning, while maintaining PHI security across UH systems.

Responsibilities

• Register and accession surgical and cytology specimens for diagnosis, maintaining turnaround time.
• Section tissue samples and stain slides for frozen section histology.
• Assist with laboratory support functions and data entry as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; ensure PHI security and compliance.
• Participate in regional float pool as required.
