PhyNet Dermatology LLC (External) seeks a Histotechnician - I to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination. Duties include grossing, embedding, sectioning, and specialized staining, with a focus on quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires attention to detail, knowledge of histology workflows, and the ability to work within a dynamic healthcare environment. Training will be provided to support success.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemical or biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of 60 semester hours (or equivalent), including 24 hours in medical laboratory technology or 24 hours in science with chemistry/biology coursework.

Responsibilities

• Process tissue specimens using histology techniques including grossing, embedding, microtomy, and H&E staining.
• Ensure proper specimen identification, labeling, and documentation throughout preparation.
• Follow QC procedures to maintain accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
• Operate and maintain histology instruments and report malfunctions promptly.
• Adhere to biosafety, OSHA, CLIA and state standards.
