Job summary

Under supervision, you will assist with gross pathology tasks, prepare pap, Gynecologic and non-Gyn specimens, and ensure the integrity of specimens throughout processing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with coursework in chemistry and biology or HT program.
• Histotechnician certification required or obtained within 18 months.
• Ability to follow accreditation guidelines and QC standards.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue and other samples for gross pathology and microscopic examination.
• Maintain and QC equipment and records per standards.
• Embed, section, stain, and label slides accurately; document issues.
• Assist with pap, Gyn, and non-Gyn specimen preparation.
• Prepare frozen sections and ensure specimen integrity.
