McLaren Health Care is seeking a Histotechnologist to prepare and stain tissue specimens for diagnostic evaluation in a Michigan laboratory. The role includes embedding, microtomy, frozen section, IHC and special stains, with strict adherence to quality control standards.
Required: a bachelor’s degree in the biological sciences, chemistry or medical technology, or completion of an accredited histotechnology program, and HTL certification within 18 months.

Cuts, stains, mounts and studies specimens of human tissue to provide data on the functioning of tissues and organs, causes and/or progress of disease. Prepares microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes, performs diagnostic tests, maintains laboratory equipment and records following established accreditation guidelines and quality control standards.
