United Digestive Pathology Services in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a skilled histology technician to maintain diagnostic quality. Responsibilities include grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and quality control of tissue specimens.

The role requires ASCP HT/HTL certification or a BS in science with histology experience, plus strong organizational skills and ability to work independently. Nor is it a per diem; the candidate will work in a fast-paced pathology lab environment with attention

Formación

• Must have ASCP HT/HTL or BS in science with histology experience.
• Two years histology experience or one year with ASCP HT/HTL.
• Demonstrated ability to perform gross, embed, section, and stain tissue accurately.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain diagnostic viability and proper labeling of specimens.
• Gross, process, embed, and section tissue for microscopic examination.
• Cut and stain sections for rapid diagnosis; perform H&E and special stains.
• Prepare paraffin blocks and tissue fixatives; maintain reagents.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; maintain quality records.
• Use LIS to track blocks and slides and perform routine billing lookups.
• Adhere to CLIA Patient Safety Goals and SOPs.
• Perform quality assurance procedures and participate in proficiency testing.
