Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a Histology Technician to support diagnostic testing and pathology services. You will prepare and process tissue specimens, embed and cut tissue samples, and stain slides for microscopic examination under strict quality controls.

Ideal candidates hold an ASCP HT/HTL certification with a biology degree and prior histology experience. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and collaboration within the lab team.

Qualifications

• Associates or B.S. in biology or related field.
• HT/HTL ASCP certification.
• Previous histology technician experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of histology tests and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Embeds tissue specimens and sections paraffin blocks; stains and coverslips slides per procedure.
• Performs special staining procedures.
• Performs routine and non-routine histology prep activities.
• Prepares reagents and evaluates control slides.
• Performs IHC testing.
• Ensures specimens are tested per SOPs and quality controls.
