Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join our team in Seattle, WA. Work schedule is Monday-Friday 4:30AM-12:00PM.

The role involves processing human tissue and body fluids for microscopic examination, producing histopathology slides, and performing immunohistochemistry on FFPE sections. The position requires an Associate’s degree in Histology or equivalent with 1+ year histology experience; Labcorp experience and ASCP certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Histology or equivalent with 1+ year histology experience.
• Labcorp experience and ASCP certifications preferred.
• Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic exam.
• Produce histopathological slides from surgical specimens.
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount on slides.
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on FFPE tissue sections.
• Process sections through routine and special staining procedures.
• Orient and embed surgical tissue specimens.
