CTA Pathology welcomes an experienced Histotech/Mohs Technologist to join our new Seattle location. The role is part-time with an 11:00 AM–3:00 PM shift and flexible options, with strong potential to evolve into a full-time position as the lab expands.

You will process, embed, and section tissue samples, perform H&E and specialized stains, and support IHC and frozen sections for intraoperative consultations. Precise logging, QC, and LIS use are essential.

Formación

• Mohs surgery experience required.
• ASCP HT/HTL certification preferred (or registry eligible).
• Associate degree in Histotechnology or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years histology laboratory experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities and problem-solving skills.
• Location: Seattle, WA. Part-time shift 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM; growth potential to full-time.

Responsabilidades

• Tissue processing, embedding, and microtomy (sectioning).
• Routine H&E and special staining.
• Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and frozen sectioning.
• Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Quality control (QC) and CAP/CLIA regulatory compliance.
• Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) management.
• Embed and section 300+ tissue blocks per shift with automated microtome.
• Perform H&E, special stains, and IHC on advanced staining platforms.
• Prepare rapid frozen sections for intraoperative consultations with tight turnaround.
• Maintain detailed daily QC logs and support accreditation efforts.
