Job summary

Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a qualified culinary worker to join our historic dining venues. Candidates must have a Certificate in Culinary Arts and at least one year of restaurant cooking experience, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.

This non-exempt role may include overtime under FLSA. Successful candidates must obtain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card and present it during the interview if you already hold one.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Culinary Arts from a technical school.
• At least one year of restaurant cooking experience; formal culinary training may substitute for one year experience.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays from 5 a.m. to midnight

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Read and interpret food orders and production charts to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain safety, portion control, and quality while coordinating with kitchen staff.
• Interact professionally with guests and co-workers and support service quality.
• Assist during peak times to ensure timely service.
