Job summary

LVI Associates in Wisconsin is seeking a licensed Historic Preservation Architect to lead preservation projects from initial assessment through construction, working directly with owners, municipalities and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a professional Architecture degree, Wisconsin licensure or reciprocity, 5+ years in historic preservation, and strong skills in documentation, restoration planning, BIM/drafting and coordination with consultants.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Wisconsin licensure or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Approximately 5+ years in architectural practice with preservation focus.
• Strong knowledge of historic materials, methods and repair approaches.
• Experience with preservation standards and regulatory processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead preservation, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse projects from assessment to construction.
• Conduct site investigations, research historic materials and construction methods.
• Prepare feasibility studies, historic reports and restoration recommendations.
• Develop design solutions that preserve historic character while meeting modern requirements.
• Coordinate with owners, municipalities, consultants and regulators throughout delivery.
• Guide projects through local, state and federal preservation review processes.
• Apply standards and coordinate Section 106, tax credit and preservation documentation.
