Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation, LLP, based in Albany, NY, is a full-service firm specializing in renovation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

We are seeking a professional architectural staff member to perform assignments under a licensed Architect, develop design and construction documents, measure and document field conditions of existing structures, and support preservation projects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field
• Master's degree in Historic Preservation or similar program
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project
• 4–8 years of experience on historic preservation projects

THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE AND WE CURRENTLY ARE UNABLE TO SPONSOR ANY EMPLOYEE VISAS.

As our next professional architectural staff member, you’ll be expected to perform architectural assignments under the direction ofa licensed Architect. This will include design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording informationfor the assigned project work.Be able to provide architectural services, including measuring and documenting field conditions ofexisting structures, developing design documents to repair, restore, and renovate existing buildings, and Construction

Administration services. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of historic building materials and construction techniques.This includes an understanding of how to date a building by the analysis of the historic fabric and how to properly restore historiccomponents.

Every day, you’re going to be working in or around any or all of these elements:

• Work within a team of like-minded colleagues on preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse projects for cultural, collegeand university, government, and commercial clients.
• You’ll be a part of the production team to develop design and construction documents.
• Work on interesting projects.
• Last but not least, ensure all the I’s are dotted and T’s are crossed on everything that you do.

To THRIVE in this role, here’s what you’re going to need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field to apply well-founded concepts to our projects
• Master's degree in Historic Preservation or other similar program
• Proficiency using Revit, AutoCAD, as well as office and project management software (ie Word, Excel, Outlook, and MSProject)
• 4 to 8 years of experience working on historic preservation projects.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and capabilities. Range $65,000-$80,0000.
