Park District Of Oak Park is seeking a Special Event Attendant for Cheney Mansion and Pleasant Home in Oak Park, IL. This part-time role involves event setup, guest assistance, light housekeeping, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.

You will greet guests, support vendors, and ensure facilities are clean and ready for events. CPR/First Aid/AED certification is required within 1 month; some event experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certification within 1 month of employment.
• Ability to solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Must be highly motivated and able to maintain a positive image under stress.
• Some experience with special events is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup for Cheney Mansion and Pleasant Home events, including opening areas and coordinating vendors and guests.
• Greet guests at entrances during functions.
• Perform light housekeeping (mopping, vacuuming, polishing) and restock supplies.
• Deliver excellent customer service and address questions from patrons and vendors; conduct tours as needed.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor and restore facilities after events.
• Set up and prepare park areas for Community Events; maintain public image.
