Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a capable Histology Technician to perform a variety of Anatomic Pathology laboratory procedures. The role requires compliance with procedural guidelines and safety standards and involves coordination with a diverse group of colleagues in daily tasks.

Under technical supervision, you will support quality control and regulatory requirements while upholding the system's mission and customer service goals in a dynamic hospital environment in Cleveland.

Qualifications

• Required: Registered Histology Technician (HT) or Histology Technologist (HTL) by ASCP OR present ASCP Admission Notice indicating application submitted and eligibility approved.
• Education or education combined with experience as outlined (ASCP path or equivalent).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with electronic equipment and computer systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree may be preferred.
• Physical requirements and ability to sit/stand as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of Anatomic Pathology laboratory procedures under technical supervision.
• Ensures procedures adhere to departmental guidelines, safety, regulatory requirements, and quality control standards.
• Coordinates with a diverse group of people in daily operational tasks.
