Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a Histology Technician to perform a variety of Anatomic Pathology laboratory procedures under technical supervision in Cleveland, OH. The role requires adherence to procedural guidelines, safety, and quality control standards while collaborating with a diverse team.

Qualified candidates must be ASCP HT/HTL certified or have an Admission Notice and eligibility to sit for the exam; AS degree in Applied Science or equivalent is required, with HS diploma and tissue

Qualifications

• Must be ASCP HT/HTL certified or have Admission Notice showing eligibility for ASCP exam.
• AS degree in Applied Science per CLIA-88; HS diploma with tissue handling experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of Anatomic Pathology laboratory procedures under technical supervision.
• Coordinate daily operations with a diverse group and ensure adherence to safety and QC standards.
