Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Tucson is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Technician to support tissue processing and specimen handling in a high-demand clinical lab. The role includes receiving specimens, preparing samples for testing, and performing waived and moderately complex tests under supervision.

The candidate will assist in training, maintain QC/QA documentation, and support the histology section’s daily workflow.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree and eligibility for ASCP HT registry, or ASCP HT registry.
• Bachelor’s degree with Anatomic Pathology certification documentation within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives, examines and processes pathology specimens.
• Performs waived and moderately complex tests as defined by CLIA ’88.
• Assists in training employees and maintaining QC/QA systems.
• Maintains a safe, clean and organized working environment.

Education

Associate degree and eligible for ASCP HT registry or ASCP HT registry

Bachelor’s degree with Anatomic Pathology departmental-specific certification within 6 months
