Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory Technician to join the Anatomic Pathology-Ref Lab. This role focuses on receiving specimens, preparing samples for testing, and performing waived testing under CLIA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree and ASCP HT eligibility or ASCP HT registry, or a Bachelor’s degree with anatomic pathology certification within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology section and demonstrate competency.
• Must have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, examine and process pathology specimens.
• Perform waived and moderately complex testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Assist with QC/QA activities and provide training in basic tasks when needed.
