Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Lab Technician to support specimen receipt, processing, and testing in a high‑volume lab environment. You will assist with waived and moderately complex tests, reporting, and QC/QA activities under supervision.

The role involves training new staff, maintaining workflow, and serving as a resource in the histology section under a Certified Pathologist Assistant, with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with Anatomic Pathology certification; eligible for ASCP HT within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train in all areas of the Anatomic Pathology section and demonstrate competency in all aspects of work.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, examine and process pathology specimens for analysis.
• Perform waived and moderately complex testing; assist with QC/QA and documentation.
• Provide support for the AP Lab, assist in training, and maintain daily workflow.
• Serve as grossing processor under the direction of a Certified Pathologist Assistant.
