Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus seeks a Histotechnologist to prepare tissue slides, stain specimens, and support diagnostic workups. You will ensure accessioning and maintenance of histology instruments, with potential supervision of daily operations.

A bachelor’s in histology or related science is required, and ASCP registration or eligibility within 1 year is expected. This is a full‑time, day shift position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in histology or related science is required.
• 0 to 1 year Histotechnologist experience is required.
• Registered Histotechnologist (ASCP) or eligible within 1 year of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare microscopic tissue slides for diagnostic/research purposes and perform tissue stains.
• Handle specimen accessioning and maintain laboratory equipment and records.
• Supervise daily department operations, assist in hiring decisions, and manage quality control.
