Job summary

Qualifications

• Assists in troubleshooting instrumentation and quality control problems.
• Ability to interact effectively with Pathologists and staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine specimen preparation for microscopic evaluation.
• Prepares specimens for processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and coverslipping.
• Maintains quality control standards and evaluates control materials.
• Operates tissue processor and adjusts processing parameters as needed.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and arranges servicing when appropriate.
• May prepare frozen sections, dyes, and bone marrow specimens; maintains related logs.
