Job summary

The Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus in El Paso, Texas, seeks a Histotechnologist to prepare tissue slides, perform stains, and ensure quality control for diagnostic services. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in histology or related science.
0–1 year Histotechnologist experience.
Registered Histotechnologist (ASCP or equivalent) or eligible within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Prepares microscopic tissue slides for diagnostic/research purposes; performs tissue stains to assist in diagnosis; handles specimen accessioning and maintains laboratory equipment.
Also involved in supervision of daily operations; supervising staff; assisting in selection of personnel and discipline; reviews quality control and troubleshooting of histology instruments and equipment.
