Job summary

American Oncology Management Company is seeking a Histology Technologist to manage daily specimen processing in the AON Lab. You will handle grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, staining and immunoperoxidase work, while coordinating with physicians and staff to ensure accurate results.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, instrument and reagent quality control, and ongoing education. Florida licensure as CLT (Histology) or Histology Supervisor is required; 5 years of histology experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab, Chemistry, Biology or related field from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of an accredited Histology Training program.
• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license (Histology) or Histology Supervisor license.

Responsibilities

• Process patient specimens including grossing, processing, embedding, cutting, staining and immunoperoxidase staining.
• Review daily technical systems to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Adhere to laboratory SOPs and ensure instrument/reagent quality.
• Participate in laboratory R&D projects as time permits.
• Maintain continuing education in Histology.
• Inventory and order supplies.
