Job summary

American Oncology Partners, PA is seeking a laboratory supervisor to oversee phlebotomists and medical assistants in daily specimen processing at our multi-site practice. The role ensures QA/QC, instrument maintenance, and accurate reporting across clinics.

The incumbent will coordinate with physicians and staff, maintain SOP compliance, and manage staff scheduling while supporting continuous education and safe, compliant lab operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Lab, Chemistry, Biology or related field.
• More than five years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Two years of laboratory supervisory experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of phlebotomists and/or medical assistants in daily specimen processing.
• Oversee lab testing, QA/QC, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with staff physicians, clinic employees, and AON Lab.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and CAP standards; maintain safety and confidentiality.
• Lead scheduling and staff training to optimize workflow across sites.
