Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• Associate degree in laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• 60 semester hours with 24 in medical lab technology or 24 in science plus 12 in chemistry/biology.
• Clinical laboratory training program approved by ABHES/CAAHEP.
• May include 3 months of IHC/histology high-complexity training.

Responsibilities

• Perform embedding, cutting, H&E staining, and coverslipping.
• Conduct high-complexity testing, including IHC staining and QC of slides.
• Document in LIS and logs; verify case IDs and patient labeling.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and report maintenance/repairs as needed.
• Demonstrate problem solving and strict adherence to SOPs.
