Job summary

Caris MPI, Inc. is seeking a Histology Technologist I to support pathology with IHC, embedding, slide preparation, and microtomy under supervision. The role requires precise, detail-oriented work with adherence to SOPs and quality controls in a fast-paced lab.

Responsibilities include routine histology tasks, high-complexity testing, and maintaining diagnostic specimen viability. Strong MS Office and LIS proficiency are preferred; travel and evening/holiday shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology; or associate degree with required coursework.
• 60 semester hours including chemistry & biology plus related courses; or clinical laboratory training program.
• HT/HTL (ASCP) eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine histology tasks: embedding, cutting, H&E staining, cover slipping.
• Perform high-complexity testing including grossing, processing, IHC staining with automated systems.
• Maintain patient/specimen labeling accuracy and document in LIS.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment; ensure compliance with SOPs and quality controls.
