Qualifications

• Valid ASCP HT/HTL certification document and updated resume reflecting histology experience are REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Process tissue specimens for fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning and mounting onto slides.
• Perform routine and special stains to highlight cellular structures for pathologist review.
• Identify issues affecting stain/section quality and implement corrective actions to maintain accreditation standards.
• Maintain routine preventive and corrective maintenance on histology equipment and manage supplies.
