Job summary

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as Histotech required.
• HT or HTL certification through ASCP required.
• State license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare thin slices of tissue on slides for analysis.
• Examine, fix, and process tissue samples for preservation.
• Embed tissue in paraffin wax.
• Cut tissue samples with microtome or cryostat.
• Mount tissue samples on slides and stain for analysis.
• Maintain equipment and manage supplies and quality-control procedures.
