Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with ASCP HT eligibility OR Bachelor’s degree with department-certification within 6 months of hire.
• Willingness to cross-train in all areas of Anatomic Pathology.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives, examines and processes pathology specimens.
• Prepares samples for analytical testing and performs waived testing.
• Assists in QC/QA duties and maintains procedure manuals.
• May train new employees and provide guidance in absence of supervisor.
• Performs as grossing processor under supervision as needed.
