Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years experience in a histopathology lab or discipline.
• ASCP qualification or equivalent with 1 year in a clinical, research, academic, or commercial/production lab is required.
• Knowledge of histology techniques, equipment, testing procedures, and staining techniques.
• Knowledge of CLIA and CAP requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot lab equipment and resolve process issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation by routine tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Partner with pathologists to facilitate pathological analysis and timely results.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot histology lab equipment.
• Maintain documentation per SOPs, GMP practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support process improvements to increase data quality or reduce costs.
• Maintain inventory and a clean, organized work environment per 6S standards.
• Support projects and study setup with process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and all relevant CLIA and CAP requirements.
