Qualifications
- Associate degree in chemical or biological science or medical laboratory technology or CAP/CLIA-equivalent training.
- Bachelor's degree in science is required or equivalent.
- Must qualify for high-complexity testing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Accessioning surgical specimens in the laboratory information system as needed.
- Grossing of routine surgical specimens as approved by the pathologist.
- Process tissues including processing, embedding, cutting and staining.
- Perform and record equipment maintenance; handle moderate weight items.
