Job summary

The-Urology-Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Histotechnician to prepare tissue specimens, embed, section and stain for microscopic review by pathologists. You will process tissue samples, calibrate histology equipment, and maintain meticulous records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in Biology or Chemistry (Bachelor's preferred), with ASCP eligibility and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biology or Chemistry required.
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred.
• ASCP certification or registry eligibility preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and lab safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination including embedding, sectioning and staining.
• Process and maintain tissue samples following established protocols for accuracy and reliability.
• Calibrate and maintain histology equipment and instruments.
• Maintain detailed records of tissue samples and processing procedures for traceability and audits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.
• Comply with HIPAA and all applicable laws and organizational policies.
