You will embed and cut biopsies and resections, follow lab policies for moderate complexity testing, and maintain competency in pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical steps. This role emphasizes team communication and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Performs embedding and cutting on both biopsies and large surgical specimens, while consistently meeting quality and productivity standards.
• Follows lab policies and procedures to perform moderate complexity testing.
• Maintains and demonstrates competency assessment in all assigned areas to accurately and efficiently perform pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes for laboratory testing.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and documents laboratory equipment failures.
• Completes all assigned mandatory assignments within allowed timelines.
• Demonstrates clear communication with team members to optimize laboratory operations.
• Actively participates in departmental projects; contributes positively to department environment/initiatives.
• Contributes to a positive work environment.
• Takes responsibility for self-development.
