Qualifications

• An associate's degree or higher in a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• Histotechnician or Histotechnologist Certification (HTL, ASCP), or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Embedding of surgical specimens and correct orientation.
• Microtomy of surgical specimens with proper safety standards.
• Tissue processing including overnight programs and reagent changes.
• Special stains and immunohistochemistry with controls and proper storage of reagents.
• Frozen sections preparation, staining and documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
