Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years histology experience.
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, OSHA regulations.
• HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare microscopic slides for diagnostic purposes (processing, embedding, microtomy, mounting).
• Assist in training and competency assessment of staff.
• Manage specimens, sample capture, and ensure quality throughout pre-analytical steps.
• Perform and review routine H&E staining.
• Recut blocks to meet turnaround time and quality expectations.
• Maintain histology equipment per SOPs and manufacturers' guidelines.
• File paraffin blocks and slides; retrieve blocks/slides as needed.
• Prepare and monitor solutions for automated stainers.
• Participate in projects, research, and validation activities.
• Restock lab to maintain inventory; document QA records.
