Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED and 3 months related healthcare experience or trade school equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare skin tissue specimens for microscopic examination
- Accurately label tissue samples and slides
- Possible cross training in processing and embedding samples, sectioning paraffin-embedded samples, and preparing reagents, solutions, control slides, and special stains
- Other duties as assigned, including routine maintenance and cleaning, filing slides and blocks
- Adhere to OSHA/CLIA requirements and meet daily processing deadlines
- Work effectively with team members in a fast-paced laboratory environment
