Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Histology Technician, Uncertified, to process and prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examination. The role requires handling slides, maintaining documentation, and contributing to quality control in a fast-paced lab.

The position operates 3:00 PM-11:30 PM on a 2nd shift, with responsibilities including grossing, embedding, staining, and equipment upkeep. Prior histology training and an associate’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• Completion of NAACLS histology training program required.
• CLIA requirements to perform duties (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Accession tissue specimens and receive/prepare for analysis.
• Process tissue embedding, microtomy, staining, and slide labeling.
• Examine slides to detect abnormalities and report deviations.
• Maintain equipment and QA/QC logs; manage specimens and slides.
