Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Histology Technician to prepare patient tissue specimens for microscopic examination. You'll log, batch, cut, mount, and stain slides under pathologist supervision.

Key duties include supporting MOHS surgery, preparing charts and instruments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/CLIA/HIPAA. A science degree and prior medical office experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Science degree required.
• Prior experience in medical office preferred.
• HIPAA/privacy compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform histological procedures to prepare quality pathology slides.
• Support MOHS surgeon with patient care and safety.
• Prepare charts, forms, and instruments for surgery.
• Process histological samples, map, flatten, and stain.
• Adhere to OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
• Keep lab stocked and maintain housekeeping.
• Organize and dispose of specimens per regulations.
• Participate in proficiency testing.
