Qualifications

• Minimum Associate Degree.
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification/registration within 18 months.
• Complete ASCP histology registration within 18 months.
• Basic anatomy and tissue handling knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Grosses, processes, embeds, cuts and stains surgical tissues for slide review.
• Performs histology procedures and analyzes problems using scientific principles.
• Assist pathologist in cutting surgical specimens and autopsies.
• Accessioning, labeling, filing and storage of tissue, slides and blocks.
• Maintain quality control of staining, cutting and procedures.
• Assist in cytology with staining/preparation of FNAs and non-GYN specimens.

Formation

Associate Degree
