Job summary

Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, CA is seeking a Histology Technician II for a full-time, first shift. The technician will cut, stain and prepare tissue specimens for pathologist review, prioritizing tests and keeping accurate records per policies.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of histopathology experience and ASCP Histotechnician Certification HT; an associate degree in science and NAACLS-certified histotechnician training are preferred. CMH offers strong benefits and growth.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical histopathology experience.
• Current ASCP Histotechnician Certification (HT).
• Preferred: Associates Degree in science and NAACLS-accredited Histotechnician program.

Responsibilities

• Cut, stain and prepare tissue samples for the pathologist to review.
• Prioritize testing procedures and complete them accurately and timely.
• Maintain proper records of all tests in accordance with policies and regulations.
