Qualifications

• Associate degree in Histology, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• 5 years of histology experience including at least 4 years after degree.
• HT or HTL (ASCP) certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented with high integrity and discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff: hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, directing and appraising performance.
• Hold monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports.
• Maintain records and ensure lab quality control and clean workspace.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and Quality Management Systems.
• Assist in staff development, updates to documentation, and inspections preparation.
• Communicate with pathologists and clients regarding lab issues and histology workflows.
• Identify problems proactively and implement corrective actions.
