Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA is seeking a skilled medical laboratory professional in Dallas, TX. The role focuses on high complexity single-gene PCR testing, data analysis, and timely reporting of results.

You will participate in quality assurance, SOP documentation, and instrument validation, ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-paced clinical lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• 5 years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing.
• Certification by the ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity single-gene PCR testing.
• Analyze, review, and report testing results.
• Participate in quality assurance and SOP documentation.
• Perform validations of new instrumentation and laboratory developed tests.
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a fast-paced lab with biosafety hazards.

Location: Dallas, Texas

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Days: Monday - Friday

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through high complexity single-gene PCR testing
• Analyze, review, and report testing results
• Participate in quality assurance and documentation including SOP writing
• Perform validations of new instrumentation and laboratory developed tests
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science
• 5 years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
