Qualifications

• HT (ASCP) or HLT (ASCP) certification completed.
• Graduated from an accredited Histotechnology program.
• High school diploma required.
• Accurate and precise histological skills.
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including off-site OR Lab.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process gross surgical specimens per procedures.
• Cut, stain, mount and label slides per defined techniques.
• Re-cut sections and perform additional stains as directed.
• Prepare frozen sections for pathologists and keep OR lab stocked.
• File and retrieve blocks and slides as needed.
