Job summary

Labcorp in Shelton, CT is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our Histology team. Key duties include processing tissue specimens, sectioning with a microtome, and performing immunohistochemical tests to support pathology services.

The position requires a histology-related Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 1+ year experience, with ASCP certification preferred. A sign-on bonus of $7,500 is offered for external candidates and the schedule is Tue-Sat, 6:00 pm–2:30 am.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histology or related science with 1+ years histology experience
• ASCP certification preferred
• Immunohistochemistry experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic exam
• Prepare stains and reagents for procedures
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount on slides
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on FFPE tissue sections
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments and document maintenance
