Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Histology Laboratory Technician I to support daily lab operations, workload distribution, and document review in a high-throughput setting.

The role requires at least 6 months of lab experience; a Bachelor’s in Biological/Life Sciences is preferred. You will work with lab staff to process specimens, maintain equipment, and contribute to quality assurance efforts, with safety and accuracy as top priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 6 months of lab experience or coursework recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stringent quality standards to ensure test accuracy and safety.
• Use LIMS to track requisitions and specimen status.
• Assist in batching samples and verifying labeling accuracy.
• Prepare reports and maintain records for equipment and instruments.
• Support QA activities, audits, and inspection readiness.
• Train and assist laboratory assistants and technicians as needed.
• Coordinate workload with team to ensure timely throughput.
