Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated is seeking a Histotechnologist I for Oklahoma City, OK, on-call status. The role offers a pay range starting at $26.43 per hour with shift differentials for second and third shifts.

On-call benefits include retirement plan matches and potential bonuses based on performance. Responsibilities include tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and slide preparation for staining and IHC procedures, ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance across CLIA/CAP

Qualifications

• AA or AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• 1-3 years experience as a Histotechnician.
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation by pathologist(s).
• Perform duties of Histotechnician I and II as required.
• Ensure proper accessioning and labeling of tissue samples.
• Process paperwork related to accessioning and reporting.
• Embed processed tissue in paraffin and perform microtomy.
• Prepare slides for H&E staining and cover slipping.
• Prepare solutions and reagents for special stains and IHC procedures.
