Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Marietta, GA is seeking a Lab Assistant II - Histology for an on-call role. You will assist in preparing histopathology slides under supervision and support the pathologist team.

The role includes tissue specimen prep, routine staining, slide handling, reagent preparation, and routine clerical duties while adhering to health and safety policies. On-call status and eligibility for bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• One year of histopathology or laboratory experience.
• One year of handling PHI and patient data using an LIS.
• Experience in histology lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision.
• Receive, label, and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Cover slips on slides manually or automatically.
• Perform routine H&E staining.
• Prepare reagents for tissue processing and staining under supervision.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Handle clerical duties and inventory monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety policies.
