Job summary

On-call status applies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year of relevant lab experience; preferred are 3 years in histopathology and LIS familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year histopathology or related lab experience preferred.
• 1 year experience handling PHI and LIS.
• 3 years histopathology or lab support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision.
• Label and prepare tissue specimens for dissection.
• Maintain and clean equipment and work area.
• Perform H&E staining manually or with automation.
• Prepare reagents for tissue processing and staining.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Maintain department statistics and inventory as needed.
• Handle clerical duties and monitor pending lists.
