Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Lab Assistant II in Histology for Altamonte Springs, FL, working Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This on-site role offers pay from $17.71 per hour with potential annual bonuses.

Responsibilities include preparing slides for pathologist review, labeling specimens, maintaining equipment, and performing H&E staining under supervision. Candidates should have at least one year of histopathology experience and a High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college science courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision.
• Label and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Perform cover slipping of slides.
• Perform routine H&E staining.
• Prepare reagents for tissue processing and staining.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Handle assigned clerical duties and maintain department statistics.
• Monitor inventory and stock supplies.
• Ensure health, safety, and PPE usage.
