Job summary

Qualifications

• AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• HT (ASCP) certification.
• 3 years Histology experience.
• Current state licensure, if applicable.
• Meets corporate Minimum Qualifications for Histotechnician and Histology Supervisor.
• Immunohistochemistry testing qualifications as outlined in SOP.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and non-routine slides preparation for microscopic evaluation.
• Capable of duties of Histotechnologist I.
• May perform gross tissue examination if qualified under CLIA and SOPs.
• Prepare solutions and reagents for special stains and IHC.
• Obtain and validate controls for stains and IHC.
• Provide training to Histotechnologists and staff.
• Handle non-gynecological specimen prep and cytopreparations.
• Maintain quality control and adhere to safety standards.
